Why the firm exists

Quality Engineering capacity is difficult to size. A new program, a customer requirement or a single engineering change can create weeks of documentation work the existing team has no room for — and the workload disappears again once the package is released.

AiroQue exists for that gap. Manufacturers engage AiroQue for a single deliverable, for a full new-product-introduction package, or for a defined amount of capacity every month, without carrying another full-time position.

How we approach the work

Quality documentation is only useful when it describes the process that is actually running, in the form the people who use it can act on. AiroQue builds documentation from the requirements you supply and the process as it exists on your floor, then verifies that the documents agree with each other before they are released.

A risk in the PFMEA has a corresponding control in the Control Plan. A characteristic in the Control Plan has an inspection method, a frequency and a reaction plan. The work instruction at the workstation reflects both.

Tailoring is the default, not an upgrade

There is no AiroQue house format that every customer receives. Column structures, classification symbols, numbering conventions, reading level and terminology are set by your customer requirements and your plant. Two example Control Plans on this site show how differently the same deliverable can be structured.

What AiroQue does not do

AiroQue does not perform third-party certification or audits, and does not certify organizations to AS9100. AiroQue does not provide First Article Inspection services. Where a project requires activities outside quality-engineering documentation and production-readiness support, AiroQue will say so before the work is quoted.
